WED & THURS MAY 14/15
Intermediate 3 champions Henyock signed off their season with a 5-1 win against Uplowman Athletic. Substitute Sam Morgan netted a hat-trick in the last twenty minutes. Alex Baird and Phil Bell with a penalty completed Hemyocks night, but Uplowman needed a point to guarantee automatic promotion and have to settle for fourth place. Beer and Honiton occupy second and third behind the champions.
Rob Langmaid who has yet to score a goal this season for Rockbeare Rangers in Intermediate 2 had the chance to win the game with a penalty kick against Cheriton Fitzpaine but blazed it wide. Langmaid's folly came ninutes after Cheriton scored a penalty to equalise a first half goal from Rangers Bryn Lister.
Oak FC won their last matc 3-0 at Axminster Town, but Exmouth Amateurs failed to fulfil their final game at Northlew as they were unable to raise a side to travel.
Langdon missed out on fourth place after they were held 2-2 by Tedburn St Mary in Intermediate 3. James Main and Craig Farley scored for Langdon.
MONDAY MAY 12
Beer Albion made sure of promotion from Intermediate 2 after scoring five goals in the last thirty minutes to win 7-2 at promotion rivals Awliscombe Utd. Honiton drop to third place but both they and Beer can be overtaken by Uplowman Athletic who scored twice in the last five minutes to beat Exmouth Amateurs 5-4. Adam Westbrook with a hat-trick, Ben Hellier and Darren Holmes scored for Uplowman who play champions Hemyock tomorrow night. A draw would be enough to promote Uplowman while a win would make them runners up.
Cheriton Fitzpaine won 4-0 against Northlew with Jamie Forrester and Ashley Knight both scoring twice.
In Intermed1ate 3 Halwill won their final game at Tedburn St Mary 5-4 having been 3-1 down. Thomas House and Craig Derby both netted twice, Mark Wonnacott had the other goal for Halwill.
SATURDAY MAY 10
Three clubs share top spot in Intermediate One but when the dust settled it was Okehampton Argyle who take the title on goal difference. The Okes snatched a last minute 2-2 draw at Culm Utd to edge out runners up Countess Wear Dynamoes and Axmouth Utd. Culm made it hard for the Okes with Paul Harris and Ross Stickland goals, but Okey kept their nerve to snatch the point they needed.
Axmouth Utd won 4-2 against Dawlish Town but have to settle for third place because their goal difference is inferior. Manager James Teed with a hat-trick and Christian Burridge scored for Axmouth who like the Dynamoes expect to be playing senior football next season for the first time. David Hudd and Matt Jones scored for Dawlish.
Second from top Honiton Town threw aside their disappointment at losing the Geary cup in midweek to win 3-0 at Hatherleigh Town, but their hopes of claiming runners up spot in Intermediate Two is now out of their hands. Steve Charlton, Craig Sluman and Tom Chown were the Honiton scorers.
Beer Albion lie third after beating Cheriton Fitzpaine 4-3 with James Melville 2, Martin Adkin and Luke Bartlett scoring. Defeat means the Fitzers are out of the race for promotion.
Awliscombe won 3-1 against Exmouth Amateurs but made hard work of it. Dave Trenchard, Pete Nelon and Chris Jones scored for the Awls who are due to meet Beer tonight.
Uplowman Athletic won 3-2 against AFC Sidford after being a goal down. Two goal Adam Westbrook and Ross Waring scored for Uplowman who can pinch runners up if they beat Exmouth Amateurs tonight and Winkleigh this week. Don Brown had both goals for Sidford.

East Budleigh and Langdon drew 1-1, Luke Kelsall scoring the home goal.
* Bampton Reserves are champions of Intermediate 4 after their 2-0 win at Sandford and it is the first league trophy the ponies have won for 43 years since the 1964/65 campaign when they were Junior 1 West champions, and their only other league trophy. Goals from Shaun Hitchcock and Danny Coles won it for Bampton and the club regard it as a reward for all the backroom staff at the village side where as they point out - players still pay to play. Bampton also reached the quarter finals of the Devon Intermediate cup this season and the semi finals of the Geary Cup losing only on penalties to Beer the eventual winners, and reckon that as a fourth division side it has been some season.

MIDWEEK
MAY 7
Heavitree Harriers hopes of winning the Intermediate 1 title were blown away in their last match by a 4-3 home defeat to Culm Utd. Culm's James Taylor punted in a long range effort two minutes from time to stun the Harriers. The other Culm goals came from Phil Farrah, Ben Sharland and Ross Stickland. The Harriers may now even miss out on a top three slot if Axmouth win their last game.
Relegation comrades UAU Exeter and Newton Town shared a 4-4 draw both teams playing their last match. Chris Dickinson, Roland Blowers, James Aylett and Phil Blunt scored for Newton. Honiton Town regained second place in Intermediate 2 after winning 2-0 at Axminster Town. Richard Newby and Chris Webb scored for Honiton.
Priory made sure of runners up spot in Intermediate 3 after winning 6-3 at Tedburn St Mary, but they were 3-1 down with under half an hour to play before swinging into gear. Ace High 2, Ben Miller, Jason Spinks, Scott Pengelly and Seb Lee were the Priory scorers.
Champions Bow AAC were held to a 1-1 draw by East Budleigh thanks to a Shane Jackman own goal two minutes from time.

MAY 5
Okehampton moved into second place in Intermediate 1 of the Devon and Exeter League after their 2-0 win at Exmouth Town. A goal in either half did the job for the Okes who will be champions if they do not lose at Culm on saturday. Newton Town won just their second game of the season when they toppled fellow relegation colleagues Culmstock 5-1. Nigel Vaas and Lewis Dickinson both scored twice, Roland Blowers had their other goal. Sean Davey scored for Culmstock in what the village team fear may be their last ever game. Hemyock are Intermediate 2 champions after their 5-0 success against Northlew. Phil Bell and George Banfield netted twice, and Darren Salter once for the East Devon side who still have a game to play. Cheriton Fitzpaine in sixth place could still make the promotion slots after their 4-1 win at home to Axminster Town. New signing Simon Leach scored twice with Chris White and Ashley Knight also scoring. Rockbeare Rangers won 2-1 at Hatherleigh Town, their first win since the turn of the year. Darren Chapman scored first for Hatherleigh before the rooks broke away twice. Brin Lister with his 17th goal of the season and then skipper Nic Perrem with the winner before half-time for the rooks. Stuart Gleave was man of the match for Rockbeare Bampton are closing on the Intermediate 4 title after beating Motel & Offwell 3-0. Danny Loftus, Rupert Harvey and an own goal beat the Rangers, and the ponies will pip current leaders Okehampton if they win at Sandford on saturday.
SATURDAY MAY 3
The Intermediate 1 leaders Countess Wear Dynamoes ended their season with a 5-0 victory at Newton Town to stay two points clear, but they now must now sit back and hope their rivals falter if they are to stay top. Goal difference will probably be enough to guarantee the Dynamoes promotion, and they improved that situation with a double strike from John Greenslade and Dave Rowe, James McCallum and Aaron Libretto adding singles. Fourth place Okehampton won 4-0 at the UAU Exeter, and if they win their last two matches at Exmouth and Culm this week will be champions. Darren Prouse 2, Daniel Pengelly and Jamie Atherton were the Okey scorers, while defeat sends the UAU down. Heavitree Harriers beat Alphington 6-3 and if they also win their last game at home to Culm tomorrow night that will ensure they are at least runners up and possible champions. Tim Cordrelier with two goals, Andrew Hall, Scott Mapp, Mark Crelland and Darren Hughes were the Heavitree marksmen. The fourth team in the mix are Axmouth Utd who beat Culm 7-2 and who could win their last game at home to Dawlish next saturday and still finish anywhere from joint top to fourth. Christian Burridge 4, James Teed 2 and Phil Squires scored for Axmouth.
Intermediate 2 leaders Hemyock went goal crazy at Exmouth Amateurs winning 12-0, and although they widened their lead at the top to six points they still need one more to clinch the title. Hemyocks goal difference should be enough, and that was improved dramatically against the Ammies with James Aldridge and Goerge Banfield both netting four. Josh Essex, Dan McConville and Darren Salter also scored all after Exmouth began by giving away an own goal. Beer Albion soared into second place after their 2-0 win against North Tawton who were playing their final match and have finished last. Both goals came in the second half from Robert Adkin and Justin Adkin. Awliscombe Utd won 4-1 at Northlew to edge third place but both teams had a man sent off. Dan Arnock was the Northlew scorer. Chris Jones, Pete Nelson, Paul Wilmington and an own goal made up the Awls tally. Honiton Town suffered a 2-1 defeat at AFC Sidford whose Joseph Samual and Rhys Perry scored, but the architects for the win were Ashley Allen and Don Brown. Uplowman Athletic were checked by a 1-1 draw against Rockbeare Rangers and it was a first point this year for the rooks after 12 straight defeats. Paul Forman was the Uplowman scorer, Bryn Lister on target for Rockbeare, but their first ever season ends in relegation. Oak FC won 6-0 against Lympstone with Dean Willis 2, Jamie Denham, Mike Moores, Mark Down and Alan Pool on the mark. Hatherleigh Town and Axminster Town shared a 3-3 draw, Matty Preece scoring twice for the tigers.
A jittery Silverton scrambled through the Intermediate 3 promotion tape with a 3-2 win against Crediton Youth. Silverton were two down but recovered with goals from Jamie O'Connor and a Jamie Farrell penalty before John Ford netted the winner. The result also means that Heavitree Social Utd who led the table for most of the season cannot finish better than fourth. Priory beat Follygate 7-3 and if they get a point from their last two matches will be runners up behind champions Bow AAC. Scott Laskey 3, Ace High, Robert Crabtree, Ben Miller and a Scott Pengelly penalty were the Priory marksmen. Halwill and East Budleigh drew 1-1, John Knight getting the Halwill goal. Tedburn St Mary had to call off their match because of a waterlogged pitch ironically against the Met Office.
An exhausted Amory Argyle clinched third place and promotion from Intermediate 4 after playing twice in 24 hours and scoring 15 goals without reply. On friday night they battered Winkleigh 10-0 with Rob Hannah getting a hat-trick, Lee Butler 2, Mark Butler 2, Lee Worbey 2 and Richard Saupe scoring. Amory then won 5-0 at the Motel & Offwell with Tim Penney 3 and Rob Hannah 2 on target. Bampton chasing the title won 9-0 at Awliscombe who could only field nine players, but Awls manager Eric Richardson said he never felt so proud of a team prepared to turn out knowing they would get thrashed. Bampton scorers were Danny Coles 4, Sean Hitchcott, Liam Hole, Andrew Hole, Rupert Harvey and Paul Gould. Lapford maintained their climb up the table when they won their last match 4-1 against Seaton Town. John Welton 2, Matt Uren and Ross John were the Lapford scorers.
